WORK IN AMERICA.
INCREASING EMPLOYMENT. WASHINGTON, Aug. 26. The business pilots of the United States have adopted a six-point plan to make new jobs after hearing President Hoover say: “Tho major financial crisis is overcome.”
Tho plan is to increase employment on railroads and the stimulation of industry through the expansion of maintenance and equipment and tho purchase of new equipment for industries to replace that which is obsolete or worn out. Work is also to be found in repairing old or building new homes. A hint is given that the hours of labour may be shortened.
