The New Zealand cross country championship resulted: —.1. G. Barnes (Otago) 37min. 37sec., 1; N. F. Cooper (Auckland) 38min. lsee. 2; E. C. Brown (Otago) 38min. 13sec., 3. The Otago team was first and Wellington ! second.
NEW SOUTH WALES CHAMPIONSHIP.
SYDNEY, Aug. 28.
The ten miles State championship run resulted as follows: J. Sheaves (Western Suburbs) 1, T. W. Watters (St. George) 2, C. Patterson (Botany) 3. Won by 400 yards. Time, 54min. 13sec.
