NEW YORK, Aug. 27. At the Brookline tourney, in the seini-fina! of £7jo men’s doubles, Vines and Gledhill (United States) beat Cachet and Bernard (France!, 16—14, B_6, 4—6, 9—7. 6—2. In the final Vines and Gledhill beat 'Allison and Van Ryn (United States), 6—4. 6—3, 6—2. In the final of tbe mixed doubles, Perry and Mi=s Sarah Palfrey boat Vines and Miss Jacobs, 7 —5, 6—3. CHAMPIONSHIPS IN SYDNEY. SYDNEY, Aug. 28. The city of Sydney tennis championship finals resulted as follows: Men’s Singles.—McGrath beat Ray Dunlop, 6—2. 6—2, 6— -2. _ Women’s Singles.—Miss N. Hall beat Miss U. Valkenburg, 4—6, 6—2, 6—-4. Men’s Doubles.—Dunlop and Donohoo heat McGrath and Willard, 6—2, 6—2, 6—o. Mixed Doubles.—McGrath and Miss Hnrtigan beat Donohoe and Miss Valkenburg, 7—9, 6—3, 6—l.
