FORMER PREMIER’S WILL. MELBOURNE, Aug. 26. The late Sir William McPherson, a former Premier of Victoria, left an estate valued at £438,133. He bequeathed £IOOO each to five employees and a further £SOOO to! all liis employees with over five years’ service provided that they had not participated in a strike or been A accrued in any action to that end. line residue goes to his three children.

The late Sir AA’illiam McPherson built up and placed himself at tho head of the McPherson Proprietary, Ltd., Melbourne, a company of merchants with branches in Sydney and Adelaide. He was commissioner of tho Melbourne Harbour Trust for 12 years, and a president of tho Melbourne Chamber of Commerce.
