THE EBOR HANDICAP

The Ebor Handicap, run at York, resulted :—Cat o' Nine Tails 1, Pickle and Sansepoir (dead heat) 2. Nineteen started. The winner had a length advantage at the post. TRACK WORK IN SYDNEY. Received August 25, 12.45 p.m. SYDNEY, Aug. 25. During training work on the tracks this morning Silver Ring ran four furlongs in 55sec. There is a slight improvement in his leg ailment. Nightniarch, Prince Pombal, Sunny Sky, Concentrate and Inflation ran six furlongs in 1.17, and finished in that order. Toprank, Horowhenua and Haeretonu ran four furlongs in 53sec. j Gold Mag, Splatter and Sam Smith covered five furlongs in I.BJ.
