QUESTION OF TEACHING. Per Press Association. DUNEDIN, Aug. 24. The annual meeting of the Pro-: - terian Synod of Otago and Southla: : received, yesterday, a letter from 11- ■. P. B. Air Eraser sought an examination of this teach.:..; as evidenced in Dr Dickie’s book, "InOrganism of Christian Truth”: ami whether such a book was in accord w:t . the fundamental doctrine of the AVc-t----minster Confession. After a discussion during which soi-.--members stated it was high time the--attacks on Dr Dickie were stopped, lit" synod accepted a report- from the committee that matters in the document be referred to the Dunedin Presbytery to report on legal and other relevant aspects of the case. The synod further resolved that petitioner be informed that it is not competent for the synod to deal with the character or teaching of Dr Dickie’s book.
