At a meeting in connection with the Flock House scheme held in Oamarii last week. Mr O. T,. Ferens (secretary of the Dunedin Returned Soldiers’ Association) mentioned during his address that the stockman at Flock House was a North Otago bov. MiTan Macdonald. Mr Macdonald belongs to Papakaio. and his brother. Mr K. Macdonald, is at present home on vacation from New Guinea, where ho is engaged in gold mining work. Mr lan Macdonald was a pupil at AVaitnki Hoys’ High School, and was at one tint" lialf-hack for the first fifteen. .so his schoolmates will not he surprised to learn that he is keen on starting a Rugby team at FlockHouse. T nder the original scheme, for English hoys. Soccer was the popular game: but now that New Zealand ho vs are to ha.ee their chance at Flock House. Mr Macdonald will have his opportunity in coaching the bnvs at Rugbv.
