With the landing at Isnialia of tho last batch of troops from Bagdad, whither they were sent by air owing to tribal disturbances, the Royal Air Force successfully carried out the transport of 14 officers and 534 men over 1700 miles of practically waterless country. Altogether 18 Vickers-Victoria troop carriers were employed, the average load being a crew of five and 18 soldiers. One machine that was used to repair breakdowns carried two spare engines, and did valuable work changing engines in the desert.
