GOLF IN AUSTRALIA.
TOURNAMENT AT ADELAIDE. ADELAIDE, Aug. 10. Tn the golf tournament Soutli Australia defeated Victoria by 5 games to 2. Rymill and Whitt-on provided the feature of tlio tournament. The match was thrilling, the South Australian triumphing at the 19th green where AYhitton’s 2C-foot putt jumped out ot the hole. Sawers overcame Williams four and two, and Cheadlc defeated Morpeth one up. . New Sotith Wales delcated South Australia by five games to two. Bettington downing Rymill one up. In tlio professional contest Victoria defeated New South Wales by four games to two, one being all square, and Victoria defeated South Australia by four games to two, otto being all square. Toogood did the last nine boles in 33. Victoria won the Vicars Shield.
