Jt i- with much regret that Rongoroa residents have learned of the death of the brother of Mrs R. Buchanan, wife of the po.-.tmastcr. On this account .Mrs Buchanan is now on a visit to Dunedin, where the sari event took place. One and ail have extended their deepest sympathy, that so soon again have they been bereaved.

Ir will be of interest to local people to learn that Sidney Burgess, son of Mr F. Burgess, has qualified to be chosen as one of the Manawatu school representatives to play the Wellington school combination in Wellington next Saturday. Judging by the way this young player lias excelled during the season, he will give a good account of himself in the Capital City.
