HIGHLY VALUABLE ORDER.

A British firm may shortly begin the construction of tho biggest bridge in Europe. Count Ahlefeldt-Laurvig, Danish Minister in London, has revealed that a provisional agreement was signed in Copenhagen recently between the Danish Ministry of Public Works and Messrs Dorman Long and Company for tho building of tho Strostoemsbrocn Bridge connecting Seeland and Falster. It is subject to the success of financial negotiations. “The cost of the bridge is estimated at £2,000,000,” said the Count. “It will be of British steel throughout, which should give considerable employment to the steel and coal industries in this country.”
