(I'rom Our Own Correspondent.) 7 . „ , BULLS, July 11. Dull light and cold, gusty winds made shooting difficult on Saturday, but good scoros wore rocorded in tho ladder badge. They wore as follow L. lluddioston, 98; D. Lundy, 97; 11. Mead, 94; F. Simpson, 92; J. B. Robins, 91; P. Thorbv, 9?; E. Simpson, 88; R. McKenzie, 83; W. I arrant, 80. Rrmgitikei and Marton Golf Clubs played a match at Bulls on Saturday afternoon in cold, windy weather, but most of the games were well contested. In the singles Marton won 10 games, Bulls 7, and 3 games were halved. Bulla ’ won 5 of tho four-ball, and Marton 4, one game being halved. Huntorvillo and Bulls thirds played at Bulls on Saturday, and a bright, open exposition of football was witnessed. The visitors were good all round, whilo Bulls’ strength was confined to the forwards. Simons, Bartlett and Hall were about tho pick of the Iluntervillo side, while Henderson and Telco play ed well for Bulls. In the first spell Hall (2), Simons and Wills scored for llunterville, Simons converting three. Henderson kicked a field goal for Bulls. Wills, Simons and Johnstone added tries for tho visitors in tho second half, Simons and Bartlett each converting one. Telco gained two trios for Bulls. Iluntervillo 31, Bulls 9: Mr E. Westwood refereed. There was a very- good attendanco at tho Parewanui School dance and ouchro party, held on Friday evening. The winners at cards wore Mrs O’Connell and Mis Klatt, and Messrs H. Holland and D. O’Connell. Dance music was kindly provided by Mesdame3 O’Connell, Fitzgerald and Trembath, and Mr T. Dennis. Mr T. Kingi contributed a song, and Mr and Mrs Trembath and Mr Eade a trio.
