BASKETBALL
SATURDAY’S GAMES. The Manawata Basketball Association’s competition was continued on Saturday, but the wintry conditions made it impossible to finish more than three games. The results were as follow: —High School A 27 beat Linton 4; Y.M. Gym 21 beat Awaburi 7; Technical A 17 beat Baptist Bible Class 6. The following is the dra.w for basketball games in the Y.M.C.A. interhouse competition next "Wednesday night:—Ladies’ section: 8.0 p.m., C. and C. A v. C. and C. B; 8.15 p.m., Hosiery Factory A v. J. R. McKenzie Ltd ; 8.45 p.m., Hopwood Hardware v. Hosiery Factory B: 9.15 p.m., P.D.C. B v. P.D.C. A. Men’s section: 8.30 p.m., Hopwood Hardware v. WatHon Bros., 9 p.m; Ford Motors Ltd v. Urgent Medicine; 9.30 p.m., P.D.C. v. Alexander Clark Ltd
