EXODUS OF PEOPLE

FIGURES FOR AUSTRALIA. For the three montlis ended March 31, 11,904 people arrived in Australia, and 12,840 persons left the country, according to figures prepared by the acting Common wealth Statistician. The excess of departures was thus 936, compared with 5142 for tho same period of 1931. After making allowance for the unrecorded departures, the net emigration for the quarter of 1932 was 962 males and 301 females, a total of 1263 persons. Similar figures for 1931 were 6582.
