THEFT CHARGE.
Per Press Association. INVERCARGILL, May 28. A plea of guilty to stealing from the Bluff Borough Council a sum of £lB2 17s 5d was entered by Thomas James, married, aged 30, in the Police Court this morning. He was committed for sentence to the Supreme Court, where ho appeared this afternoon, a sentence of one year’s imprisonment, with hard labour, being imposed.
