THE Y.W.C.A. APPEAL.
There has never been a time when the Y.W.C.A. was in greater need of funds to-day, and for that reason the appeal being made in Palmerston tomorrow should meet with the generous response it deserves. While big sums cannot be expected under the present circumstances, if everybody gives a little the amount collected will be sufficient to enable, the association to carry on its Work, which is even more important in bad times than in good. The Rotary Club have made a very exhaustive inquiry into the association’s work and have confessed themselves surprised jit the work which is being done so quietly. Especially do they commend the help that has been given to needy and unemployed girls through the hostel and the finding of employment through the secretary. The Rotanans are standing sponsors for the appeal, and are doing everything in their power to help. They ask other citizon= to do the same. A splendid womnnkood is the greatest asset any country can have and it is the primary purpose of tho Y.W.C.A. to play apart in training this throughout tho Dominion. >
