MR “WIZARD” SMITH IN SYDNEY.

SYDNEY, May 17. Mr Norman (“Wizard”) Smith received a cordial welcome home by. many friends upon the arrival of the Zealandia from Auckland to-day. ■ In an interview he said that he was confident of breaking the land speed record upon his return to New Zealand at the end of the year. “I have not lost faith in Ninety Mile Beach,” he added. “There is none in the world to compare with it.” Mr Smith expressed grateful appreciation of the hospitality accorded him during his stay in New Zealand.
