OTAGO UNIVERSITY.
STATEMENT OF FINANCES. Per Press Association. DUNEDIN, May 18. A statement on finance presented by the treasurer of the Otago University showed that the college was losing £IOOO annually on income from investments. Rentals in arrear totalled nearly £SOOO, while next year they could expect a reduction of at least £IOOO in the training college income, with the probability that there would be no training college in a few years. The treasurer stated that in such circumstances it was not honest to continue on the present course under full sail, and they should confer with the Government to ascertain tho exact position.
