THEFT ALLEGED.

AUCKLAND, May 17. Two men arrived under police escort by the Marama from Sydney this afternoon, and later they appeared before Air F. K. Hunt, S.M., at the Police-Court. The men, who were brought from Sydney by Chief-Detec-tive Hammond, were Reginald Clarence Williams, alins Header, aged 36, and Clifford Spencer Dahlin, aged 31. Both were charged with stealing £I2OO from George Montague Poyner, at Whangarei, on August 21 last. Accused were remanded to appear at Whangarei on Tuesday. Williams was arrested at Brisbane, and Dahlin at Casino, 300 miles from Sydney.
