RELIEF WORKERS
POSITION AT WELLINGTON. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, May 17. Arrangements were discussed to-day by the relief workers and strikers with a view to waiting upon the Minister of Employment in company with representatives of tho Alliance of Labour and the Trades Labour Council, presumably to place before the Minister representations on behalf of tho strikers. A mass meeting was hold this morning in the Trades Hall, and another is to be held this afternoon. ATTITUDE TO CAMPS.
Figures supplied to-day from an official source showed that 1408 men are working out of a total of 2250, for whom jobs nave been allocated. Since April 1, one hundred and thirty single men have gone into camps from Wellington. It is estimated that about 750 single men refused to go into camp, and, consequently, have not been given work.
