After having been laid up in the stream at Wellington since early in 1930, the coastal steamer Putiki, which was built in 1904, was moved into the Glasgow Wharf yesterday afternoon. She is to be dismantled and will be offered to the Navy as a target. The Putiki’s gear will probably be transferred to the same company’s steamer Parera, which is to he laid up indefinitely at Wellington.
