POST OFFICE TRANSFERS.

PROMOTION OF OFFICERS. Several important changes in Post Office staffing are announced, and they include appointments to and from this centre. Mr N. R. Mclsaac, of Palmerston North, who is at present relieving tire chief postmaster at Blenheim, has been promoted to the position of chief postmaster at Hastings. Mr J. H. V. Gason, telegraphist, of Marton, has been transferred to the Palmerston North staff.
