STRIKE SETTLED.
WAIMAKARIRI RELIEF WORKERS. Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, April 6. The Waimakariri strike of relief workers has been settled. The men have accepted the Trust’s terms and the first batch of 150 will resume work to-morrow. The spokesman for the men says they regard the result as a victory and they have defeated the proposal for the 42liour week at 37s Cd, which was the principal issue.
