MOVEMENT FOR UNITY. TE~KUrn, March 10. Wirimu Ratana, with 150 followers, has arrived at To Ivuiti from Wanganui to attend a large native gathering at the local pa. The hui, which is organised by Princess Tc Puea, has the object of uniting the two great parties. Ratana, who claims a following of 15,000, is anxious to unite on common ground with the followers of “King” Te Rata for the unity and welfare of the race. It is'understood that hitherto strong feeling has existed, more between the followers than -the leaders. A conference is expected to take place to-morrow. In the menntimo Natives continue to arrive from all parts of the district, and large supplies of food in the shape of carcases of beef, Eork, fish, potatoes, and kumaras are eing brought in. Local bakers supplied 1000 loaves to the pa this morning.
