CONCERT AT TAKARO.

A concert was held last . evening under the auspices of the Takaro Progressive Association, a diversified programme being accorded a splendid reception and the artists had to submit to demands for encores. The programme .''.presented was as under: Songs, Mr Taylor, “Floral Dance” and Peace of Allah”; songs, Mrs Simpson “Loleta and “My Ain Folk”: song, Mr Loveday “Return of the Regiment”: string sextette: song Mr Gregory, “In an Old Fashioned Town,” and character sonc “Up from Somerset;’; songs, Master Ted Jamieson, “My Little Grey Home in the West and Dawn auartette (Messrs Gill, labor, Parr and Taylor) “In Absence Sweet”; songs, Mrs Bigham, "The Kerry Dance” and “Annie Laurie” ; Mr Parr, “Do Ye Not Know”; songs, Mrs Jamieson, “Give me Youth and a Day” and “A Bowl of Roses”; songs, Mr Gill. “Two Grenadiers” and “Invictus”; recitations’, Miss White, “Arn’t Men Funny” and “In The Tunnel”; instrumental duet, Messrs Loveday and Morine; vocal duet, Messrs Tabor and Gregory “Tally Ho”; song. Mrs Bigham, “Garden of Roses” ; vocal quartette, “Volkelied” and “Picanniny Lullaby”; song, Mr Taylor, “Captain Mack”; humorous song, Mr Tabor, “Takaro Progressive”; character songs, Mr Parr “The Rest of the Day is Your Own” and “Curly Headed Baby : ” j Loveday’s instrumental sixtette, “Pro Patne” and “Banjo Band.” Mr C. Teppett acted as accompanist to tho vocalists, while Miss Thelma Hastings was accompanjste to the orchestra.
