FRENCH ROMANCE

In March, 1927, a British guardsman, Raymond de Trafford and Countess Alice de Janze were found wounded in a train at the Gare du Nord, Paris. De Trafford declared that the shooting was accidental, but Countess de Janze, who is related to the wealthy Armour family, of America, was charged and convicted. She has now been granted a free pardon, and it has been announced in Paris that the couple will shortly be married in Neuilly.
