GARDEN PARTY.
ALL SAINTS’ HOME FUNCTION:
.. It was unfortunate that the weather was not favourable for the garden party which took place at All Saints Children’s Home this afternoon, Held in order to augment the funds of .the home it had been splendidly arranged and the stalls and entertainment provided showed that a considerable amount of planning had been done beforehand. '• The function was opened at 2.30 o’clock by the Mayor, Mr A. E. Mansford, and thereafter the scene was one of enthusiasm despite the threatening weather conditions. There Was a multitude of stalls and competitions added to the interest of the afternoon under the guidance of Mrs BridenJones and helpers. The list of stall-holders is as follows:—Produce, Mrs H. G. Bagnall and Miss Outram; flowers, Mesdames T. R. Moore ana N. Blnckmorej. work, Mesdames A. E. Mansford and G. i. Woodward; sweets and 'icecreams, Miss Woodward and helpers; tea, Mesdames W. Phillips, Arlidge,. Martin and helpers. ' An attraction was a nlnyette which was produced by .Mrs Wiltshire.
