Mr Lange was accompanied during the inspection by Messrs J. Howl, local supervisor, W. Boswell, chairman of the school committee, S. G. Parlane, head teacher, and the competitors. The inspection showed a very high standard of cultivation in all the plots, and the crops (Yellow Globe and Long Red), were generaly well advanced, exceptionally so in a few. instances.
