MURDERER SENTENCED.

Received February 23, 8.5 a.m. THE HAGUE, Feb. 22. Koenings has been sentenced to 20 years’ imprisonment for the murder of Herr Eschauzier, the millionaire head of the Dutch Indian Sugar Union, and Penders to five years’ imprisonment as an accomplice.

In May of last year the body of Herr Eschauzier was found in a packing case in an empty warehouse. Tho victim had been chloroformed and thon strangled. Later two men were arrested, Ivocnings and Penders, who, it was reported, confessed that their object -was to get their victim to sign certain cheques for the purpose of financing an invention of a metal Babot with & changeable solo. They obtainod £SOO, after which Herr Eschauzier demurred about paying more. Tho men persuaded him to aocompany them to Koening’s house, where they chloroformed him, tied up the body, and took it to tho warehouse in a taxicab.
