N.S.W. COLLIERIES.

Tyldesley colliery, in New South Wales, which has been idle practically since April, 1930, is likely to recommence operations in the near future, says the Sydney Morning Herald. Arrangements have been made for the dewatering of the mine, and it is possible that a conference w r ill be held'between representatives of the management and the Tyldesley Miners’ Lodge. When the men were served with a log of rates and conditions in April, 1930, they decided to cease work. Several conferences were held between he managment and the Miners'*' 1‘ ederation, but a settlement was never reached. About September last year, the management engaged a number of men to work the colliery on a cooperative system. The federation' thereupon declared the mine “black,” and it ceased operations again in December. . _
