TENNIS. A visifi was paid to the Feilding Tennis Club bv twelve players from the Marton Club on Saturday afternoon, the home club winning by 18 sets to six. The following are the details, Feilding players being mentioned first: — Men’s singles.—Thomas beat Howard, 9 —6; Simpson beat Fenwicke, 9 —4; Mason lost to Holdway, I—9; Miers beat Glasgow, 9—2: Harding lost to Scoon, 4—9; Crookb defeated Coleman, 9—o. Ladies’ singles.—Mrs Robinson lost to Miss B. Gaisford, 4 —7; Mrs Caldwell lost to Miss M. Wilkie, 3-y-7; Miss D. Foster beat Miss Sutcliffe, 7—6; Miss G. Curtis beat Mrs Fenwicke, 7—4; Miss B. Eliott beat Mrs McLean, 7—6; Miss D. Sexton /beat Miss Craven, 7—4. Men’s doubles.—Thomas and Simp-: son lost to Howard and Fenwicke, 6 —9; Mason and Miers beat Holdaway and Coleman, 9 —6 ; Harding and Crooke beat Glasgow and Scoon, 9—7.
