SHIPPING FREIGHTS.

SYDNEY, Feb. 20. While overseas shipowners have decided not to press for increased freight rates, their contribution to the exchange rate on freight will be withdrawn. This is the outcome of the Australian Overseas Transport Association Conference, which has adjourned. No definite agreement was reached, but it is expected that the various committees will be able to reach satisfactory terms-without another council meeting.
