TIAKITAHUNA.

(From Our Own Correspondent). . TIAKITAHUNA, Feb. 20. At a meeting: held in the hall to finalise arrangements for tho jubilee celobrations it was decided to co-operate with the School Committee and hold a jubilee picnio on 26th February, the site to be one of the first picnic grounds on Karere Road. The picnio will not now be held at the school. Mr Lange, agricultural instructor, visited the school on Friday, to inspect the mangold plots entered in the Boys’ and Girls' Club Competition. Two plots were visited, but owing to no transport being available the third plot was not seen. The three will be visited in May or Juno when the judging takes place. Both plots visited compared very favourably with those of other districts. This is the first year the local school has. entered in tho competition.
