KARERE MURDER.

VERDICT AT INQUEST. A formal verdict as to tho circumstances surrounding the death of Edwin John Blakeway. railway employee, of Palmerston Nortn was returned by the Coroner, Mr A. J. Graham, at the resumed inquest this morning. The. verdict was that deceased was murdered at Karere, on or about August 23, 1931, by Norman Robert Decke, farmhand, of Fitzherbert, the actual cause of death being from haemorrhage resulting from a bullet wound. The inquest was originally opened on November 13 last.
