POST OFFICE PICNIC.

At a meeting of the staff of the local Post Office it was decided to reinstate the annual picnic on Sunday next, the Ballance bridge to be the venue of the outing. Last year the picnic was not held owing to the Hawke’s Bay disasters. It was the consensus of opinion that the present time was not opportune to approach the general public for donations of any nature and it was' consequently decided to forgo the customary canvass. Arrangements were also made to run a special train to the picnic ground.
