MAN REMANDED.

Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, Feb. 19. A middle-aged man, Philip Fielding Farnworth, was remanded to-day, in charge, that on February 19, with intent to defraud, ho obtained from Charles Luther Lee £2O by falsely representing that he would be paying the amount to two detective-sergeants as a bribe to arrange that the bookmakihg business carried on by ' Farnworth nnd Lee would be free from prosecution. The Magistrate refused to suppress the name. '
