SWING FRO3I LABOUR IN. ADELAIDE.

A distinct swing from Labour occurred in several district© in the municipal elections. At Peterborough, a strong industrial town, every ward was contested, and in all but one Labour candidates were defeated.
3lr J. Fitzgerald. 31.L.A., was defeated by 442 votes in a contest for the 31ayorahy at Port Pirie, a Labour stronghold. This is the biggest majority ever obtained there against a Labour man. Only one Labour candidate was successful at Port Pirie. Party politics played a leading p&rt throughout the campaign..
