VETERANS’ VASE. The Veterans’ Vase was sought by a rink from the Northern Club which visited the Palmerston North Club’s green yesterday afternoon. The trophy has been retained there for some time past, but under new rules the original holders were replaced ba fresh rink. The match resulted in a close win for Palmerston North, the teams and scores being: —Palmerston North: Brookie, Fleming, Tapp, Holdawav (skip) 21. Northern: Andrew, Beattie, Stallard, Hodder (skip) 19.

In a challenge for the Fletcher Shield v. Manawatu, the following

rinks will represent the Northern Bowling Club to-morrow : —Andrew, Binns, Hodder, Bennett (skip); Ranson, Kirk, Stallard, Stuart (skip) ; Douglas, Palmer, Teale, Larcomb (skip); Moxon, Beattie, Sharman, Fenwick (skip).
