NEUTRAL INTERVENTION
JAPAN’S RESENTMENT.
PARIS, Nov. 30. The Japanese resent intervention on the part of neutral observers in Manchuria and insist on direct communication with the Chinese authorities.
M. Briand replied to the Japanese Note which announced this, saying that the third parties would merely reduce the risk of conflict. There was no desire to resort to their intervention.
LEAGUE INQUIRY. COMMITTEE EXTENDED
Received December 2, 10.0 a.m. PARIS, Dec. 1. The League Council has altered the number of mem liens of the committee of inquiry on Manchuria to five. The members will probably be representatives of Britain, France, the United States, Italy' and Holland.
