INTERRUPTED HOLIDAY.

SYDNEY, Dec. 1

Three persons —a married man, a girl aged 17, and her step-brother about seven years of age—were prevented from landing from the (Jlimaroa this morning. Customs officers interviewed the trio in the saloon, lounge and ascertained that the man had paid the j>assages of the boy and the girl in order to give them a holiday. The girl, who is exceptionally pretty, occupied a separate berth in another portion of the ship. The boy travelled with the man. The girl and boy both sobbed pitifully when they realised that thejr holiday was being spoiled. The trio are returning on Friday’s boat. Customs officials, acted upon radio instructions received from the New Zealand police and the girl’s friends at Wanganui, where she is a dressmaker. .
