OBITUARY.
MRS E. R. COLLIE. fM'lhe demise of Mrs Emma Randle Stjollie, which occurred at the residence Hf her daughter, Mrs Gourlay, 17 sKiombard Street, on Sunday, marked ||he passing of one who had witnessed ■he progress of the Dominion over a gong period. A native of Devonshire, She deceased lady came to New Zcagjand with her parents, Mr and Mrs Wandle, at the age of 17 years, huidftig at Dunedin from the sailing ship ■plullie in 1863. Mr Randle made the Southern town his home, establishing a Krocery business in King Street, Hpunedin. Three years following her Krrivhl Miss Randle married, and in Jtthe ensuing j cars accompanied her Biusband to Oamaru and Coromandel ■Auckland) where Mr Collie followed Business pursuits. Twenty-five years &go Mr and Mrs Collie came south ■gain to Wellington, but in 1918 the Pjife partnership was broken by the ||eath of Mr Collie in his 83rd year. I&fter his demise Mrs Collie came to jjghlmerston North to reside with her |3£ly daughter. Of later years she sufSffijjied considerably, death coming as a (Sappy release, although she had alsjWays borne her sufferings with great latitude. At the time of her death BMps; Collie had attnined the age of years her association with the Dominion thus extending oyer 68 years. |Mrs Haskell, of Victoria Avenue, 'jSjxbnerston North, who has attained 91st year, is a sister of the late Collie. There are left to mourn mßbir loss two sons and one daughter, iSpinely, Mr James Collie, of Coromanagl, Mr John Collie, of Auckland, and raErs E. R. Gourlay, of Palmerston •fjlbrth. One daughter predeceased her Mother 40 years ago. The mortal reMains were "laid to rest alongside those fflther husband in AVellington.
