DUNEDIN TRADE REVIVAL

MORE MANUFACTURING

DUNEDIN, Nov. 30. A brighter Christmas is promised for many than was anticipated a few weeks back. Manufacturing firms find things getting back to near normal and employment is being found for numbers of tradesmen who were previously on relief work. One foundry specialising in a certain line is putting on men every day to cope with northern orders, and during the past week has taken on 30 men with others to follow.

Other firms are also cutting out the w©©k-ofF method and som© are advcrtising For hands. One woollen company, for instance, advertised on Saturday for 20 mantle machinists, offering permanent employment.
