Here is a simple way by which huttei may be kept fresh and firm even in the hottest weather. ‘ Obtain a flower pot—tire ordinary earthenware kind —and scrub it until it is scrupulously clean. . Put the butter on a plate that has been rinsed in cold water, and place the flower pot, also rinsed, over it. . Soak a cloth in cold water, wring it out slightly, and wrap it round the flower pot in several thicknesses, excluding every pit of air. Keep the cloth always wet, and the lnittcr will be found to be in perfect condition.
