COUNTIES’ CASH CYCLING CLUB.

At a meeting of the Counties’• Cash Cycling Club there was a lengthy discussion regarding track racing. Those present were Mr G. Mayo (chairman), Messrs J. Boucher, A. Eaton, W. Collins, A. and I. Jones, E. Thoreau, C. Trow, A. Jeffries, M. Olsen and J. Christensen. On the motion of Mr W. Collins, seconded by Mr J. Boucher, it was decided to extend to the Manawatu A.A. and.C.C. an offer of the use of the cycling track on Friday evenings between tho club’s own events. A letter was read from the secretary of the Rangitikei district of tire N.Z. Cycling Union, advising the club that members must compete only with affiliated clubs. Mr W. Collins tendered his resignation as honorary secretary, and Mr I. Jones was elected in his stead. The following officers were'also elected; Mr W. Smith, timekeeper; Mr E. Thoreau, handicapper; Mr J. Butler, starter; Mr C. Trow, marksman; Messrs J. Boucher, Ferguson, W. Broughton, judges; Mr J. Boucher, treasurer.

The treasurer was accorded a vote of thanks for a/handsome cash donation. It was decided that the subscription per member for the track season be 2s 6d, also that all track races in the meantime will be run on a sweepstake of Is per rider. The first meeting of the season will be held at the Sportsground next Friday evening. It was announced that the recent cyclists’ competition was won by Mr J. Carr, No. C. 5.
