ISLE OF MAN POPULATION
The first census- returns for the Isle of Man, issued recently, show a decrease in population since 1921 of 726. After deducting non-residents ivlio were oil tho island oil census night the net total is 48,352, consisting of 22,489 males and 26,849 females. Douglas, the capital, has declined by 1,000, but there is an increase of 1,400 in the adjoining parish of Braddan, where a working-class suburb has been built since the war.
