GUNPOWDER EXPLOSION.

DISASTER IN CHINA. HONgTkONG, Aug. 14. When ten tons of gunpowder blow up at the Portuguese military magazine at Macao (a Portuguese settlement on tho south coast of China) yesterday, groat havoc was wrought among houses over a wide area. It' was revealed to-day that more than 30 were killed, including Portuguese, Chinese, and African soldiers. Several hundreds were injured. The troops flooded tire bigger magazines, preventing an even greater disaster.
