The eleven inmates had only time to escape in their night attire. The splendid work of residents saved an adjoining store and a bakehouse. A very heavy frost during the night made it difficult at first to obtain water. The insurances are not available, but Mr M. Hart, the owner, and Mr G. Moseley, the lessee, will be heavy losers.
