REMAND GRANTED.
Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, Aug. 6. Violet Beatrice Moar, aged 29, a domestic, a married woman, living apart from her husband, was remanded till August 10 on a charge of abandoning a female child found in an empty house on July. 29. , , “Word has come from the hospital that the child is not well,” said Chief Detective Carroll. “Should it die, and tho cause of death be exposure, a more serious charge will probably follow.”
