COPPER INDUSTRY.
SURPLUS PRODUCTION. Received August 3, 9.10 a.m. NEW YORK, Aug. 2. The copper industry is rapidly inclining to the belief that there must be a complete cessation of production. The stocks above ground are the highest in the history of the industry. The African fields are expected to furnish additional supplies of the metal in January.
