LONDON’S TRAFFIC.

CHARING CROSS BRIDGE. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, July 21. The London County Council to-day decided to promote another Bill in Parliament for the construction of a new bridge at Cliaring Cross at a cost of £12,500,000. An advisory committee was appointed. after the rejection of the previous Bill by Parliament, to consider the various schemes advocated in connection with the proposal to replace the existing railway bridge. Its report, issued seme months ago, reviewed six different solutions of the problem, but indicated that the balance of opinion favoured a scheme known as No. 6, specifying the level of the station on the site south of the river occupied by the Lion Brewery and the traffic circuses at the. ends of the approaches to the road bridge. The committee, however, was reconstituted to consider further another scheme differing principally with regard to tire level of the station, and consequently whether the railway lines should be carried over or under the roads, but it has confirmed its previous decision. The council has now agreed to }jrocecd with scheme No. 6.
